FORMATION OF STUDENTS’ COMPETENCE IN FINANCIAL DISCIPLINES

The article deals with the problems of formation competencies of students learning fi- nancial disciplines, studies and analyzes the basic methods of forming competences, approaches and development factors of competency. The importance of competences practical orientation in business is shown. We give various interpretations of compe- tency by Russian and foreign researchers. Elements in the structure of human capital have undergone changes; creativity comes to the fore, particularly in the field of finance. We have analyzed the different points of view on the category "Finance". A lack of creativity impedes the formation of students’ competence in the field of finan- cial relationships. There is a need for active learning methods using modern financial mechanisms, self-study of students. We have proposed the indicators and criteria for assessing the level of competences obtained in financial disciplines. The necessity of updating educational material on financial disciplines, including finance, is substan- tiated.
