Annotation:
The relationships between ideas and things are considered in this article from the perspective of participation in ideas. Aspiration to ideas is peculiar to things, be- cause the latter are emanations of the first. This aspiration is carried out through art; for this reason the man is a main maker, operator here. Participation in ideas is one of the main activities in the material world; art is understood as a practice of participating in ideas. The thing becomes a symbol for art, i.e. a manifestation of one (idea) in the other (matter) and their unity. The symbol opens the door to the realm of ideas; it gives the opportunity to participate in ideas through making or picturing things. So the man is included in the intelligent realm of ideas that brings him closer to the All.
