LITERATURE ON KYAKHTA — TROITSKOSAVSK CITY IN THE COLLECTIONS OF THE RARE AND VALUABLE PUBLICATIONS FUND OF THE SCIENTIFIC LIBRARY OF THE DORZHI BANZAROV BURYAT STATE UNIVERSITY

The article presents the books that are part of the collection of rare and valuable pub-lications in the Buryat State University Scientific Library, dedicated to the history, economy, and culture of the Kyakhta — Troitskosavsk city. The collection includes works from the late 19th to the early 20th century, which have source value, as well as works from the second half of the 20th to the early 21st century, which can be used by researchers to study the historiographic process. It should be noted that a large part of the publications in the collection belonged to cultural institutions such as libraries, gymnasiums, and schools, which were the basis of cultural connection for the resi-dents. The collections gathered from publications of this last group cover a wide range of topics and include both fiction and scientific literature, published in the pre-revolutionary period in the central
regions of the country. The author provides a review and analysis of many publica-tions, revealing their source significance and historical value.
