Currently 14-17% of pregnancies occur in conditions of hyperglycemia, of which 83% are attributable to gestational diabetes. Observations of the overwhelming majority of researchers allow to assert that DM, frolic during pregnancy, even in mild form, significantly increases the risk of adverse pregnancy outcome for both the mother and the fetus.
