Annotation:
Acute intestinal obstruction (AIO) is a syndrome of partial or complete cessation of the passage contents of the gastrointestinal tract.
AIO is more common in men. Statistics indicates that the number of men, on average, amounts up to 65% and women — to 35%. The largest number of patients with AIO occurs in summer and autumn seasons. It is the time when the intestine gets more high- fiber foods. Acute intestinal obstruction can be a complication of various diseases. Patients with the disorder require emergency medical help; therefore, doctor of any specialty must have skills in making a correct diagnosis and know an algorithm of such patients’ management.
The work represents the analysis of the results of diagnosis and treatment of acute intestinal obstruction of tumor Genesis in the Department of Purulent Surgery, Republican Clinical Emergency Hospital named after V. V. Angapov, Ulan-Ude.
