In this article, the author reveals the basic principles of early diagnosis of acute surgical diseases of the abdomen, as the prevention of serious lifehreatening complications. So it is shown that the late request for medical help, as well as diagnostic errors lead to late hospitalization with all the ensuing consequences. Special attention is paid to the clinical examination. Its goal is the prevention of acute surgical diseases, not their early diagnosis. One of the directions for the early diagnosis of acute surgical diseases is sanitary and edu- cational work. Improving the early diagnosis of acute surgical pathology is unthinkable without the introduction of modern minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. The principles of early diagnosis of acute surgical pathology of the abdominal organs in the complex can improve the quality of medical care to patients.
