Annotation:
Based on the Noctuidae collection of Institute of General and Experimental Biology SB RAS (Ulan-Ude) and literary sources, we have compiled the most complete species list of the families Erebidae, Nolidae, and Noctuidae in Western Transbaikalia, numbering 464 species. Major contribution to the identification of the species composition of Noctuoidea in Buryatia was made during the period from the 1890s to the late 20th century. To date, the most well-studied areas of Western Transbaikalia are the southeastern part of Buryatia, the northern part of the Selenga Highlands, the Barguzin Depression and the Tunka Bald Mountains.
