Annotation:
The article analyzes the history and development of the concept of "turn to the East" in Russia's foreign policy, discusses the established tradition of Russia’s regular “turns” either towards the East or towards the West, which contributed to the formation of a multi-vector foreign policy of modern Russia. We have identified several stages in the formation of the policy of "Russia's turn to the East" starting from the mid-1990s, analyzed the historical background, causes and features of the modern "turn to the East" in Russia's foreign policy.
