The article presents discourse analysis of the idea of state prestige in the speeches and statements of the Presidents of the Republic of Korea — Lee Myung-bak (2008–2013), Park Geun-hye (2013–2017) and Moon Jae-in (2017–2022). In the course of our work, we have come to the conclusion that President Lee Myung-bak referred to the idea of state prestige in the context of the Global Korea program, developed to increase the international position of the Republic of Korea. President Park Geun-hye considered the idea of state prestige in terms of the cultural influence of the ROK, in particular the Korean Wave. And President Moon Jae-in turned to the idea of state prestige in terms of raising the status of the ROK through its economic cooperation and cultural influence.
