THE FAMILY CONCEPT IN THE SYSTEM OF VALUE ORIENTATIONS OF RESIDENTS PRIMORSKY TERRITORY

The article focuses on the place and role of the family in the system of value orientations of Primorye Territory residents. The research was conducted using quantitative (questionnaires) and qualitative (unstructured interviews) sociological methods within the framework of an exploratory-descriptive strategic plan. Official regional statistics and secondary sociological analysis were also used. The main goal is to identify how changes occurring in Russia have influenced the life values of Primorye Territory residents, their attitude towards creating a family, and the principles of its formation. The results of the study have shown that the family maintains its high significance. The respondents consider officially registered marriage as the most acceptable form of organizing marital life. They associate life success with having a family and children, interpreting it in terms of family and material well-being, as well as social stability.
