Annotation:
The article focuses on the manifestations of children’s language reflection in Russian– and English-language children’s literature. The functions of such manifestations are analyzed. The authors use child’s language reflection in the text in order to give the child’s speech expressiveness and individuality. «Literature» manifestations of language reflection are compared with those that are observed in child speech in ontogenesis of speech development.
The results of the analysis allow us to conclude that literature with children’s language reflection have a great methodological potential for use in literary reading and Russian language lessons and encourage children to reflect on language. Reading to children such literature is important for ontogenesis of speech development of the child.
