TITLESOF E. А. BARATYNSKY'S POEMS: STRUCTURAL AND SEMANTIC ANALYSIS

The article analyzes the titles of the works of different genres created by the poet in different pe- riods of his creative biography. The typology of titles, their structural, graphic, language features are investigated. Attracting readers ' attention is achieved through the use of antithesis in the title, unusual combinations, receiving paronymic attraction, diminutives. The article considers the complex nature of the relationship between the title and the text of the poem at different levels: ideological and semantic, figurative, phonetic (realized through repetition of sounds), lexical (manifested in the repetition of the title lexeme, the use of single-rooted words, synonyms, antonyms). Some titles are associated with other poems of the poet, works of Russian and foreign authors and canonical texts. Due to a set of reasons, the evolution of titles reflects the complex creative quest of the poet, which was expressed in the rejection of titles, their changes, the restoration of previous versions.
