The article is devoted to the description of hunting vocabulary in the modern Mongolian lan- guage. The Mongols have long been engaged in hunting and used in their speech the vocabulary of the hunt. These words reflect the originality of the culture of the Mongolian people, especially the way of life in the past.
Mongolian hunters treated nature carefully. They followed a whole set of rules. Verbalization of these unwritten laws of Mongolian hunting is confirmed by examples. Hunters use special hunt- ing words in their speeches, taboo some words and use euphemisms. In the hunting vocabulary reflects the language picture of the world of the Mongols. But in modern times, this vocabulary becomes uncommon, goes into a passive reserve, gradually dies out. The peculiarity of the cul- ture of the people, the way of life is reflected in the language, so the fixation and description of the vocabulary of the hunt becomes an important task.
The language picture of the world changes naturally. Hunting vocabulary shows the direct de- pendence of the vocabulary of a language on the development of culture.
