Annotation:
The article considers beauty as a basic ethnocultural concept, the analysis of which is aimed at finding cultural connotations of this name in Russian and Chinese artistic discourse. The author believes that in various and individual discourses on beauty in Russian and Chinese literary texts there lurks a certain “logic”, which is characterized by national-determined philosophical understanding and ethno-cultural features, with which the popular idea of this understanding, which develops the understanding of beauty as basic linguocultural concept. The article highlights five, in the opinion of the author, important for understanding beauty as the aesthetic value of relationships: beauty and order, beauty and life, beauty and harmony, beauty and suffering, beauty and power.
