Annotation:
The article is devoted to the problem of studying the language of the Buryat chronicle texts, namely the identification of intertextual inclusions from early precedent texts. In this paper, the language of chronicles in the aspect of intertextuality is considered for the first time.In the course of the study, it was revealed that all forms of intertextual inclusions are present in historical Buryat narratives: pinpoint quotations (names of mythological heroes, anthroponyms, toponyms), retelling of fragments from fairy tales and legends, background references to national-precedent texts understandable to all (or most) native speakers, etc. There were found the intertextual links of the Buryat chronicles with the Mongol chronicles. It is noted, that the intertextual inclusions play an important role in the process of formation, design and subsequent representation of historical information, being the key signs marking the important points in the content of the text.
