The article examines the activities of the internal affairs bodies in emergencies, where the work is associated with an increase in the volume of functions performed. Since the activities of employees of internal affairs bodies must be based on fundamental princi- ples-principles that reflect the role of both the head and the police officer, the authors pro- pose a number of principles necessary for the implementation of measures in emergencies.
