SOCIOLOGY OF LAW AS A DISTINCT LEGAL DISCIPLINE

Based on different approaches to understanding the range of sociology of law and its place in the system of social sciences, we have attempted to substantiate its status as a distinct legal discipline. In our opinion, sociology of law holds such a position due to its genetic origin and specificity. In terms of scientific discourse, the recognition of the interdisciplinarity of a scientific discipline seems to be the most acceptable option for resolving the problem.
