Annotation:
Artemisia absinthium L. is the official (pharmacopeia) species in Russia. The species is adventitious (intrusive), not typical of the flora of Buryatia. Other species of the subsection Abrotanum (subgenus Artemisia, section Abrotanum) growing on the territory of Buryatia are A. messerschmidtiana Bess., A. santolinifolia Turcz. ex bess., A. adamsii Bess. Studied essential oils of A. abrothanum, A. messerschmidtiana are to the «camphor» chemotype with the prevalence of camphane type compounds (camphor and borneol). At the same time, from the species with a narrow areal (in the northeast of Central Asia) A. adamsii and A. santolinofolia, it is possible to distinguish the essential oils of the two chemotypes «camphor» and «thujone». At the same time, the accumulation of triquinane sesquiterpe- noids occurs in the essential oils from plants from continental territories (Serbia, Austria, Buryatia).
