Essential oil was obtained by steam distillation (method I). Chemical composition of this group of secondary metabolites of Saposhnikovia divaricata roots of Russian and Mongo- lian flora was studied using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Non-specific compo- nents were identified, they indicated occurrence of impurity.
