YOUTH POLICY AND THE THIRD MISSION OF DORZHI BANZAROV BURYAT STATE UNIVERSITY

Today, a university that wants to become a successful development center goes beyond the two traditional missions — science and education, and takes responsibility for the implementation of a wide range of activities called the “third mission”. The issues that we would like to discuss are related to the difficult and very important problem of develop- ing the third mission of the university. Dorzhi Banzarov Buryat State University successful- ly implements about 200 educational programs at all levels, starting with secondary voca- tional education. BSU prepares graduates in almost all sectors of the economy. But for the further development of the university we need to reconsider several key issues of interaction with society, and to decide what we define as the third mission of Dorzhi Banzarov Buryat State University.
