Annotation:
The article characterizes the professional strategies of migrants coming to Pri- morsky Kray from other Russian regions for the purpose of employment. The study was based on the qualitative sociological methods presented by a series of unstructured inter- views. Field work was carried out in May 2022. The study showed that the professional strategy of internal labour migrants is predominantly moderately adaptive. This group of migrants is focused on high stable earnings and does not consider Primorye as a region for permanent residence. We have also identified the aspects that should be taken into account when building a scheme for attracting internal labour migrants to the region, and proposed some ways to improve the management of professional strategies for internal labour mi- grants.
