The article deals with the ideological policy of Mongolia. We have analyzed new plots that continue the tradition of perpetuating the images of Genghis Khan and the empire he created in post-socialist Mongolia as one of the key resources of the official state ideolo- gy. The article discusses the related nationwide events of 2022. It has been emphasized that the modern Mongolian ideological discourse is focused on the interpretation of Genghis Khan as a “progressor” of medieval Eurasia. In this projection, the official state ideology is perfectly complemented by the attitudes and worldview of citizens.
