Annotation:
The article is a review of works by professor O.A. Nechaeva on the study of Siberian vocabulary in the language of works of art of writers of Siberia. Appeal to the topic due to the relevance of her work in the context of modern research of regional versions of the Russian language. The formulation and solution of the problems of the author’s research are traced on the basis of the linguistic material entered by her into the scientific circulation, selected from the works of art of Siberian writers, some of which are absent as in V.I. Dahl and L.E. Eliasov, and in the 17-volume SRLYA. In her opinion, many Siberian words that perform a nominative function should not be considered regional, but should be part of the general Russian vocabulary. The results of her work on the theoretical understanding of the relationship between Russian and dialect, as well as local vocabulary, the interaction of the literary language with local dialects; questions of lexicographic fixation and descriptions of Siberian vocabulary based on the rich language material collected by it may be useful for the development of regional Russian language research in terms of defining such concepts as regionalo, regional vocabulary, Siberian ethnographic, ethnographic and non-ethnographic vocabulary, local words, general Siberian vocabulary; defining the boundaries between them and the relations of various groups of regional vocabulary to the literary Russian language.
