ON A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE CATEGORY OF CAUSATIVITY IN RUSSIAN AND BURYAT LANGUAGES

The article is devoted to the topic of comparative studies of the functional semantic category of causativity on the material of the Russian and Buryat languages. Comparison as a method allows us to describe in detail such universal categories. The author notes that the appeal to this method is due to the insufficient degree of knowledge of the category in the Buryat lan- guage. The work shows the need to identify and compare common and different means of expression of the universal semantics of causativity. It is noted that the comparison provides rich material for confirming not only the structural differences between the Russian and Buryat languages, but also determining the similarity of the difference-structured languages, and also allows to determine the national specifics of the causative semantics. The article describes some of the conclusions about the semantic and grammatical features of the ex- pression of causation obtained by comparing the causative verbs of the Russian and Buryat languages.
