RELIGIOUS LEGAL AWARENESS AND ITS INFLUENCE ON BEHAVIOR COMPLIANT WITH THE LAW

The article deals with the issues of religious legal awareness and its influence on enhancing behavior compliant with the law, analyzes the relationship between religious values, moral principles of Buddhism, Buddhist worldview, value system and rules of law. We have defined the concept of “religious legal awareness” and the key Buddhist commandments, which are the fundamental prescriptions of Buddhism. Attention is focused on the main prohibitions established by Buddhist philosophy and their compliance with modern law. We emphasizes the importance of Buddhist values and their significance for shaping behavior compliant with the law, as well as the need to understand their place in the socio-cultural space of Russian society as a basis of traditional spiritual and moral values of the state.
