Annotation:
The article considers mobile technologies as an effective tool for student's individual work in the process of foreign language learning at nonlinguistic universities. Achievement of objectives of foreign language learning depends on appropriately cho- sen and used teaching aids. It is known that tools for teaching a foreign language are effective when they involve all channels of information flow; mobile technologies can help to solve this problem. Their features are access to necessary information and op- portunities to work with them almost at any place and any time. The article gives ex- amples of mobile apps aimed at formation of pronunciation, lexical and grammatical skills and development of all kinds of foreign speech skills. The use of mobile tech- nologies in education facilitates formation of competences provided by Federal State Education Standards for Higher Education.
