REVITISING IMPORT SUBSTITUTION AT CONSTRUCTION AND HOUSING ENTERPRISES IN THE NEW ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT

The article considers the relevance of development of import substitution policy in Russia as a refusal to consume goods from abroad due to the production of domestic high-tech prod- ucts. In the current economic environment import substitution requires big financial invest- ments both from government bodies and from entrepreneurs, and it is one of the important factors in effective development of import substitution processes in Russia. The article dis- cusses import substitution processes at construction and housing enterprises. We have ana- lyzed the processes in this area over the past few years, which show that the current import substitution policy is underdeveloped, but have a significant potential for further effective implementation. Based on the results of our study, we have formulated the prospects and di- rections for development of Russia’s import substitution policy in construction industry, housing and utilities infrastructure.
