Annotation:
The article address the views of representatives of Marxism and neo-Marxism on the prerequisites for the emergence and possibilities of eliminating the problems of injustice in the distribution of income and the formation of wealth, the nature of accumulation and preservation of capital. We have shown that the conclusions of Karl Marx made almost two centuries ago about the gradual concentration of capital at one pole and the accumulation of poverty at the other, turned out to be faithful and confirmed by the realities of the modern world. The problems of inequality of income, property and capital, differentiation of welfare are still relevant for the modern (capitalist) society, and require effective tools and methods of regulation that are adequate to the challenges of modernity. We have analyzed the role of the state in the regulation of inequality, considered various instruments of regulation. It is substantiated the expediency of tax regulation, which contributes to smoothing property inequality in society.
