Annotation:
The article attempts to assess consumer demand for food in the Republic of Burya- tia. We considered the correlation between per capita income of population of Bu- ryatia and prices for foodstuffs, and offered a system of indicators, which allow as- sessing the level of demand for food. The analysis led to the conclusion that public authorities should support the solvency of the poor population in the republic.
