The article shows that processes of globalization and integration are the key factors in development of the world system. Globalization reflects the depth of the impact of various international factors on the development of national and regional socio- economic systems. We have identified the following subsystems of regional socio- economic system which are exposed to the influence of globalization: technological, intellectual, food, financial, managerial, and public. The main effects of globaliza- tion in the regions are expansion, adaptation, unification, standardization and inte- gration. We have also highlighted globalization trends: political, cultural, social, in- formational and environmental. It has been shown that the processes of globaliza- tion inevitably affect all regions, which should take them into account in their eco- nomic policy and development management. It is globalization that makes it possi- ble to transfer certain regional unique products and services to the world economy. The most interesting is the connection of globalization process with integration mechanism for its implementation. If the basis of integration is, first of all, a com- mon interest in resources, then globalization is based on a unified vision of the pro- spects for developing processes, phenomena, products and technologies. Integration at the regional level can be both socio-economic and administrative legal. Social and economic integration usually has a form of joint development programs at the interregional and sub-federal levels.
