ECO-DEBATES: NEW FORMS OF INTERACTION BETWEEN GOVERNMENT AND BUSINESS IN SOLVING ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS (BASED ON CONFERENCE MATERIALS)

The article presents a continuing review of the proceedings of international scientific and practical conference "Baikal as a World Natural Heritage site: 20 years later". We considered one of the innovative events of the conference — "Green Day in Atsagat", within the framework of which presentations of entrepreneurship’s "green initiatives", a project on development of ethnographic tourism, as well as establishment of the ecological path "The Great Baikal Trail —Atsagat" were held. We paid particular attention to the methods for eco-debates "Baikal + 20: Ecology & Tourism", based on a special form of interaction between government and business in the form of open discussion with certain rules. The main opponents were, on the one part, representatives of travel business and public organizations, on the other part — representatives of local government. The article submit the results of eco-debates.
