The tourism industry in Thailand is one of the most actively developing sectors of the economy. In 2017, 35 million foreign tourists visited the country. Thailand's annual income from tourism was 1.81 trillion baths. The share of tourism in the state's GDP exceeds 9%, and the tourist industry employs about 6 million Thais. These record figures are achieved through the creation of new marketing concepts and tools, development of innovations and successful implementation of state and regional policy in the field of tourism business. Today The Thailand Ministry of Tourism and Tourism Service are targeted at increasing the number of foreign tourists to 40 million over the next 5 years. It is obvious that the country's tourism industry will face new challenges, and it should be ready for them right now.
