The article studies the cultural and linguistic contacts in Eastern Eurasia, namely the similar stuctures in the languages of different families in this area. We can observe the multilateral linguistic and cultural contacts of the peoples living in Vozhsky basin. Our research concerns the issues considered in the works of "Eurasian" ideological orientation.
The Russian scientist N. S. Trubetskoy specifi a cultural region called the "Russian cultural zone", which is interralated with other cultural zones of Asia. The comparative study of the common elements of phraseology, syntax, and word formation, the so- called "paired words", prove the conclusions of N. S. Trubetskoy about cultural contacts of the Eurasian zone. His works throw light on the origin of parallel linguistic units.
