In the article, we seek to understand how the left movement is represented in the most popular social networking service of the Russian-speaking Internet space — Vkon- takte. The social networks have ingrained in our everyday lives and become another indis- pensable platform for the representation of political ideas, including communist ideology. It is worth recognizing that the post-Soviet space represented in the virtual Internet environ- ment by the Russian-speaking environment, or “Runet”, is actively included in ideological processes. In the political segment of the VKontakte social networking service the left movement is the most striking example of the difference in both ideology and themes of var- ious resources. Each political bloc of this movement is irreconcilable both ideologically and in terms of the way it reproduces the attributes of its ideology.
