Аннотация:
The article is aimed at determining the mental and spiritual values of the Mon-gols by observing the meaning of Mongolian proverbs demonstrating the national speci-ficity of the people's ideas about reason and wisdom, ascending to such semantic areas in the mentality of the Mongolian people as reason and life, anger and prudence, intelligence and stupidity, faith and knowledge. The material of the study was more than 200 national proverbs identified by the method of continuous sampling. As a result of the analysis we have come to the conclusion that the ideas under consideration belong to the core zone of priorities and preferences and occupy one of the highest places in the hierarchy of values. They reflect the attitudes of the national community and are recognized in the evaluation of events, situations, people and their behavior.
