Annotation:
The article reveals the peculiarities of temporality expression in Buryat and Chinese fairy tales. On the example of tales introductions we have showed that each of the compared languages re- flects its own system of time representations, which are closely related to the category of space. In Buryat fairy tales they are presented by turns of speech, sentences and adverbs. Chinese in- troductions are also very varied, but often they have typical for fairy tales repeated syllables. Typical time formulas entrenched in Chinese texts of fairy tales are used as formulas of intro- ductions because they are rhythmic, melodic, and therefore more expressive, they enhance the poetic flavor of compositions.
Keywords:
