Education is a complex sociocultural process, which involves a purposeful im- pact on a person in order to develop the necessary qualities for a successful social life, creation of conditions for the holistic development of a person, as well as transfer of sociocultural experience. The socio-philosophical interpretation of the process of character education presupposes an understanding of education as a purposeful devel- opment of such personal structures as values, attitudes and qualities. Values are combined into a number of interconnected systems, where the worldview, moral and aesthetic attitudes of a person play a significant role. The correlation of ethical and aesthetic factors is of great importance for character education. Positive aesthetic values are associated with positive moral values in the developed moral and aesthetic consciousness of the individual, and contribute to the further moral development of a person. Outstanding works of art, reflecting the aesthetic aspects of reality, almost always affect the moral as- pect of human activity, thus, the correlation between the aesthetic and moral aspects of education is obvious.
