The article presents the results of a historical and cultural analysis of the process of social development from the point of view of forecasting. Based on an analysis of the current trends, we reflect on the fate of humanity from the perspective of humanism, preservation of universal values, ethical standards, creation of new cultural regulators and norms of cultural creativity, believing that in the era of the flourishing of artificial intelli- gence, high speeds and energies a Human, his human nature (mind, emotions, speech, body and the irrational) should remain the starting point of philosophizing. Digital civilization, no matter what benefits it provides, external civilizational conveniences, will not give hu- manity a “magic pushbutton” by pressing which a person could become happy and suc- cessful. The novelty lies in a holistic approach to modern reality, thanks to which we can consider any social system as a multi-level, complex, self-organizing system in which the transition from one level to another is carried out due to the difference in the entropies of the previous and subsequent levels. Moreover, at each level, the contradiction between par- ticular forms is resolved by their synthesis, formation of a phenomenon of the next order and transition to the next level. The era of Logos, Noose, and Ratio, which, according to K. Jaspers, began in the 7th century BC and is known as “axial” and “post-axial time” de- clines, and Russian cosmists, Western and Eastern futurologists expect a transition to a new era, to a new level. In this light, we have identified four main trends that take into account the peculiarities of modern reality and are capable of bringing humanity to a new, most likely, “noospheric level” of development, otherwise, according to many authors, humanity will face degradation and a slide into a herd, animal existence .
