Annotation:
The paper describes a method for determining the shear modulus of elasticity of liquids using resonance acoustic method. A piezoelectric crystal oscillator of X-18,5o cut with re- sonance frequency of 74 kHz was applied as a vibrator. The lengths of the low-frequency shear waves in polyethylsiloxane liquid are measured, using these parameters shear moduli and tangent of the angle of mechanical loss of liquid were calculated. It is shown that the experimental curves are in good agreement with the theoretical ones.
