Annotation:
The acceleration in the Buryats from the end of the 19th century to the present days is discussed in the article. The reasons that influence on the dynamics of the morphological structures of a modern man over time, as well as in different periods of his life, is one of the main research questions. The presented paper describes the initial stage of studying the topic, which reflects the analysis of the statistical data and the studies of past periods on this issue. In the course of the research work the measurements have been made among male representatives of Buryat nationality aged 16 to 37 of anthropometric and somatometric characters. As a result of the analysis of anthropometric studies, it has been established that over the last century the average growth of the Buryats has significantly increased.
