The article contains the problem of addictive behavior, as well as the features of character accentuation in men with harmful use of cannabinoids. The relevance of the study is due to the annual increase in the number of patients using cannabinoids, with emerging self-injurious addictive behavior, which indicates a wide social-psychological phenomenon. The article presents the results of a study on the features of character accentuation in men with harmful use of cannabinoids. The author's research goal is to obtain specific data on the features of character accentuation in subjects with addictive behavior. The research methodology used a standard test for identifying character accentuations developed by G. Shmishek and K. Leonhard. In accordance with the research goal, the obtained result is of concern from both a scientific and practical point of view. In terms of scientific-theoret- ical aspects, the discussed features of the character accentuation based on a psychological- sociological perspective are valuable, taking into account addictive behavior. The high- lighted relevant information about the status of addictive behavior formation in a general population approach allows for theoretical justification of an algorithm for preventing ad- dictive behavior. The practical value of the completed work is most important from an ap- plied point of view: the empirical data obtained from the study of character accentuations in patients with addictive behavior can be used in formulating methodological recommenda- tions and added to programs for corrective and preventive measures to change patterns of addictive behavior with targeted treatment on the existing features of character accentuation in men with harmful use of cannabinoids.
