Annotation:
In the article, the author reveals the problems of preserving the ecological traditions of indigenous peoples. Currently, the changes taking place in the modern world community have affected all regions of the Russian Federation and all aspects of the life of the peo- ples inhabiting it. The preservation and development of traditional nature use is a condi- tion for the sustainable development of the regions where the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East live. Traditional nature use is, on the one hand, an eco- nomic phenomenon, and on the other, it is the basis for the preservation and develop- ment of traditional culture and everyday life. The main issues of sustainable develop- ment of the indigenous small people of the North are considered in this article. In addi- tion, the results of a sociological survey on this topic are summarized. In conclusion, it is said that the problem of sustainable development of indigenous peoples is one of the top- ical issues of our time, requiring new theoretical and practical research.
