Annotation:
At present, one of the urgent problems in the system of secondary vocational education is the formation of common competencies - a component of professional competence of fu- ture specialists. In the context of the subject orientation of the program of the mathemati- cal discipline, there is a need to select the most effective means, forms and methods of or- ganizing educational activities that contribute to the formation of common competencies. The article is devoted to the methods of forming general competencies of college students in the process of teaching mathematics. The methods of training and education in accord- ance with the classification of Yu.K. Babansky, adapted to the conditions of formation of common competencies. These are practical methods, including solving examples and problems, completing tasks of a practice-oriented and competency-oriented nature, a pro- ject method, didactic games, basic methods of control and self-control. Their features are considered in teaching mathematics in the system of secondary vocational education. The materials of the article can be used in the educational activities of organizations of secondary vocational education when learning the cycle of natural sciences.
