PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION IN THE REPUBLIC OF BURYATIA: HISTORY AND MODERNITY

The problem of training engineering personnel is relevant at the present stage of education development. Handicrafts plays an important role in technical education, since students when studying this discipline get acquainted with promising technologies and high- tech industries. The discipline has a polytechnical and practical direction. The article reviews the history of training teachers of Handicrafts and describes in detail the stages of the development of technical education in the higher educational institution of the Republic of Buryatia — Buryat State University. We have presented the names of teachers who stood at the origins of technical education at the university. The article also shows the current state of training handicraft teachers and prospects for its development. In the context of changes in the concept of technical training the introduction of new federal state educational standards for basic general education is of great relevance for training future handicraft teachers.
