In article the historical and pedagogical aspect of development of professional music education is considered. On the basis of archival materials sources of system of training of professional musicians in Mongolia are defined. The contribution of the Soviet teachers-musicians to creation of School of arts, Musical and drama school, Musical and choreographic school in the 30-60th years of the 20th century is noted.
