The article presents the results of a study of the problem of social and pedagogical adapta- tion of first-year students of a sports institution. Comparison of results of social and peda- gogical adaptation of students-athletes with students of different faculties, such as physical, psychological, philological and others is given. The methods of research of social and peda- gogical adaptation are substantiated and presented.
