Annotation:
The article considers the evolution of the concept of "inheritance contract" within the framework of two drafts proposed by the Deputy of the State Duma
Pavel Vladimirovich Krasheninnikov: No. 801269-6 of 2015 and No. 451522-7 of
2018. During the legislative activity, a contract of inheritance passed the stage from
a special type of will to a special type of contract, thus the problem of legal regulation
of inheritance contracts arises: are the general provisions on the will are applicable to
them or the general provisions on the contract. We have come to the conclusion that the
contract of inheritance is a special type of contract due to its essence as a whole.
