Annotation:
The article considers the concepts of social exclusion and quality of life as indica- tors of the country's socio-economic development as in the case of the residents of the capi- tal of Mongolia. Quality of life can be used as an indicator of social inequality and has a strong correlation with the social exclusion index. We have described the historiography of English-language scientific literature, in particular, the works by John Carl Flügel, Hadley Caetrill, Norman Bradburn, Angus Campbell, Ed Diener, K. Rieff, R. Calderon, as well as works of Russian researchers A. A. Rusalinova, N. E. Simonovich, Zh. T. Toshchenko, M. K. Gorshkov on social well-being.
Keywords:
social isolation index, quality of life, standards of living, Mongolia, demographic characteristics of the population, subjective satisfaction.
