ORIGINS OF IDIOMS IN KOREAN LANGUAGE

The article reviews the idioms of Korean language in terms of etymology. It also co m- prises a classification of given idioms, based on different origins: environmental phe- nomenon, professional realm, phraseological pun, the realities of the past and historical events. The article represents Illustrative sentences and situations, which contain Ko- rean idioms. Analysis of idioms enables to conclude that the study of origins can give the key to understanding meaning, correct use and identification of national and cultural specificity of the language. Reference to the origins of idioms can let us know meaning of historical roots, and in that way it let us understand semantics of idioms in greater depth and reasons of using in modern language. Using analysis of origins of idioms will help to discover bright, vivid meaning of many expressions.
