The article is devoted to the constitutional development of the People's Republic of China, summarizes the content of the amendments made to the 1982 Constitution of the China, their role in modernizing China's economy over the past 40 years, and the successes achieved over the years. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the new amendments adopted in 2018, the goals and objectives of the development of the China for the coming years.
